Hi everyone! I know it’s
been a long time, it’s been a busy few months and I’ve really struggled to get
on here often.
So I´ve been in Mexico for
the past two weeks, and every second of it has been incredible.
We landed at 7pm GMT which
was about 1pm in Cancun. We then had to get through customs, get our bags and
it was about 3pm when we got out of the airport and into the rain. Yes. Rain.
It was humid and rainy and horrible, and then we had an hours bus journey to
the hotel, which meant we had about an hour of daylight left when we got to the
hotel. So we checked in and went straight to our room to wait for dinner to
open at 6 30. We went to bed almost straight away after dinner, but woke up at
6am due to time differences. We headed down for breakfast and I had quesadillas
for the first time. I don’t even know how to describe them, they are literally
the most amazing things. And pancakes with hot Nutella ugh it was heaven!
I’m going to skip a few
days cause it was basically wondering round the complex and settling into the
area.
On the 13th we
went to a place called Chichen Itza. It is the first man made wonder of the
world and was absolutely incredible. I’ll do a whole blog post on Chichen Itza
because theres too much to explain about that day.
We also went on a pirate
ship and had surf and turf and partied the night away with Captain Hook in
Cancun. So much happened that night I can't remember anything. (I was expecting
this post to be amazing and full of info but I don't know where I'm going with
this.)
The next few days we spent
down on the beach, on fifth avenue and by the pool, making friends with one of the
entertainment staff. Crazy James was the life and soul of the party, he made
everyone do tequila shots in our group (except me, I'm not old enough for
alcohol. 17 years young haha)
I honestly had the best
two weeks of my life there and would return in a heartbeat!
